Pretty sure AAR and some other bands said they weren’t on it when the 2022 lineup dropped & skiba said something really strange like “they released the lineup without actually consulting any of the bands and by some miracle we all actually agreed to play” (definitely not the case). Idk this was all pretty public when the first year came out but I think we’ve all slept since then.

definitely not complaining, just making an observation.

  2. I'm just still so bummed that our Uber literally dropped my friends and I off at the gate when we got the notification that day 1 of WWWY got cancelled due to the wind storm... That was such a weird day. Granted, the wind was absolutely crazy, so I totally get why it was cancelled. Still sucked though haha.

  3. My take on that whole WWWY thing was, and remains, that many bands at that level have very little involvement in their booking beyond blocking their calendars for whatever weeks/months. Their agents handle all the details. Most festival announcements don't become memes like that one — my mom asked me about it later that day, and that is not normal for a punk/emo thing halfway across the country. More than a few bands probably saw the announcement go viral and had no idea that they were on it because they don't think about that kind of thing until they're actually prepping for the tour.

    Things have changed.

Skiba was absolutely wrong when he said that lol. He has one of the best agents in the game.

I remember the Man of the Woods tour being expensive (and that was pre-Covid) but it had the most insane production value of any show I had seen up until that point.

I was 154 for night 2 in Chicago and by the time I got in there was nothing left. Jumped over to night one and I was over 4k so I left. Venue only holds 3k something. Pretty sure a bunch of dates completely sold out during presales

I’m guessing those dates sold or will sell. Travis tour they did have to REALLY lower the ticket price on some to sell lol.

JT I think will need a big hit to sell tickets cus his prices are probably gonna be insane.

JT tour shold be fine, demo who wants to see him (probably older professionals at this point) has the money vs the younger crowd who the Travis Scott tour catered to.

Yeah, me too. I already have tickets to Electric Callboy on the 2nd date and I did just see ST at Riot fest so I will be good for now. Funny to think that 4-5 years I almost went to see them when they were billed like 4th on an Issues tour (I think it was issues) at HOB.

Edit: Tour was Issues / Polyphia / Lil Aaron / Sleep Token in 2019

    idk man

I went to that Issues tour twice and was barricade for Sleep Token the first night even though I got there a half hour after doors opened. When I saw Sleep Token last year I got there an hour before doors opened and the line was wrapped around the block. Anyways can't wait to see them at Barclays or whatever arenas they are playing next.

it seems to be a constant thing where people assume these tours wont sell and they almost always do

I was at that show at HOB Chicago. Won tickets as I really wanted to see Polyphia, but I was blown away by Sleep Token. Im still surprised how big they are now

I’m not a fan, but they def should have done arenas on this run. I think they would have sold those out too, based on the demand for these 3k-6k venues. For some reason they are tip toeing with moving them to bigger venues.
