  2. I don't love this but it's good. "Whatever," "Room To Talk," and "ATX" are great. not big on the closer or "Sideways"

Preorder downloads come tonight at midnight can't wait. I stoped listening to the YouTube stream so I could enjoy the album in better quality starting tomorrow

Oh hey guys, I forgot this thread existed. Was checking in on the All Get Out thread last week and thought it was super weird that no one was talking about the stream. I'm an idiot.

This album is everything I could have possibly hoped for. I think my favorites are ATX and Empty Nest and every other song on the album. I might get shit for this, because Jason Mraz gets a bad rap, but Empty Nest reminds me a lot of Details in the Fabric, which is also a fantastic song.

I never thought I would recommend a Jason Mraz song in an All Get Out thread, but here I am.

Yea I'm sure. I can tell there is a drop in quality when I listen to the he three songs that have been released in full quality next to the you tube streams. Either way I am pretty excited

I don't want people to take this comparison too literally, but as far as how I feel about this record personally:

It's what The Hotelier's Goodness was to Home, LIke NoPlace Is There for me. A little more restrained, and certainly less full of anguish, but no less emotional or fantastic. More importantly, this album feels very deliberate and maybe even conceptual, depending on how one interprets the lyrics.

Production-wise, it sounds fucking fantastic. My only minor nitpick at first was how repetitive a few of the choruses were (sometimes literally just one sentence, sung over and over). But taken as a whole album, and not a sum of individual songs, I've decided that's actually fitting in with what I'm taking away from this record thematically.

Thanks! I just realized I used the word "fantastic" twice haha. Guess that demonstrates my immediate impressions of the album.

Also does anyone else feel that the previously released singles (especially Get My Cut) are a million times better in context?

Yeah, even on first listen of the album I wasn't a big fan of "Get My Cut", but after a few more listens, including one this morning, I still can't get it out of my head.

The verses in "Get My Cut" are so fantastic. The half time drums, the vocal line on the 'right hook' part, everything works, it is such an earworm. Chorus is a bit of a step down, but solid track overall. This album's growing on me.

I think the last two tracks are the best and close out the album really well

I honestly don't come to All Get Out for the hooks. When they hit, they hit hard, which is dope, but Nathan just writes fuckin' hella great verses almost every time.

Agreed. Personally I find the verses in both "Get My Cut" and "Whatever" to be much better than the actual choruses. The instrumentation in the latter is especially gorgeous.

Haha, I almost edited my post to say the exact same thing about "Whatever."

Not really into anything about "Now You Got It" or "Sideways" quite yet, though I do fucking love the opening riff of the latter and hate that it gets notably less interesting the second the vocals start.

When I saw Hussey do an acoustic performance on YouTube, he played "Get My Cut," "Home," and "Wait List," and hearing "Get My Cut" was what amped me for this record. Hell, I even thought it would be my favorite track. But Nathan blew my expectations out of the water, even made me cry with "Empty Nest." This album is the best he's ever put out, and although it'll be difficult for it to dethrone Bon Iver's 22, A Million as my AOTY, it will be right next to it.

To be honest I'm terrible at hearing the different between a good and bad quality stream. What exactly do you listen for? Is it just clarity or what? Deaf problems...
