This is true. I’d be lying if I said I actually gave a shit what kind of screen it was because they’ve had their hooks in me my whole life and that’s probably never changing. Just thought it was an odd choice after they bothered to make the OLED Switch

 

I’ve owned 5 Switches and still currently own 3, so I am in no position to judge

I luckily still have my launch Switch and have had no issues aside from drift. But my friend also got his when I did and his started sounded like a fucking airplane taking off a couple years ago, so he ended up getting an OLED. He probably would’ve looked for an excuse to upgrade anyway though. Lol

 

Oled super expensive to make

I honestly don't care about the screen. If the games look nice and play well and are actual good games that's all that matters to me. The price being low, potentially better battery life than the switch and backwards compatibility will be enough to sell me on it.

OLED looks nice and I get that, but like idfc at this point. I want something that can run more modern games.

 

Had the launch day, traded it in when the improved version came out. Still have that one. Then I got the lite, which I still have. Then I got divorced and bought one to give to my son to keep at the house. But I came back home so we returned that one. Then got the oled lol.

you don’t even want to know how many GBs/GBC/GBA/DS/3DS I have.

 

Also I own like 6 sets of joy cons and there’s something drastically wrong with 1 of each set. And I’m not talking about drift, actually none of them drift but they either have connectivity issues or buttons just flat out don’t work. Almost all are left joycons too.

 

Lol I do have them all but I think the only one I have two of is the 3DS. I have a launch one and then I bought a 2DS XL a few years ago to hack it.

But I did have like every iteration of Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4 though. But the older one usually went to my dad or was sold to a friend.

6 is tame compared to the shit I’ve seen online though. People with dozens of them that just collect every color available. It’s just wild to me

Yeah and some of the duplicates are because they’re technically my (ex)wife’s or sons. One of the GBAs was my brothers. I was given the dsi xl from a hotel lost and found after it had been there a year.

 

Sounds reasonable enough to me. Honestly kind of a cool collection to have all that Nintendo handheld history. And again it makes more sense to me than 50 different colored joycons or 30 different colored GameCubes or something.
