Counterpoint: Hasan is good actually

 

Used to be a fan, but he's fallen into some pretty campist tendencies lately. Uncritically supporting and interviewing one of the Houthis is perhaps the most embarassing.

Destiny sucks far worse and his use of violent rhetoric is abhorrent though.

 

Seeing some rumblings on possible “smoking gun” on Covid origins. Not sure I fully trust it yet but worth keeping an eye on.

The short short version is there appears to be evidence of a very specific artificially made....thing, don't ask me because I don't know, something with a specific dna thingy lol....in COVID that was also specifically identified as something in the grant proposal from that one health company imitative thing in 2018. That specific grant WAS denied, but maybe they found alternative sources of funding/illegally used funding for something else?

Hard to tell because the people I see "reporting" it right now have been relatively anti-China about COVID for a while, so not sure if their bias is causing them to inflate the study showing the same sequence of DNA (or whatever it is again not sure how toe xplain that part lol in the grant is also in the virus, or if it it's really something big. I saw someone I've seen NOT be a big "rar China" person tweet about it so that's why it caught my eye

While I like them (and once helped teach an entomology class at a university), cicada summers typically bring out more snakes because snakes love to eat dead cicadas.
