I started or picked back up with a lot of shows recently.

Game of Thrones: It is fine so far, but it has a lot of the worst excesses of cable TV shows. There is a scene with two prostitutes performing sex acts while Mayor Carcetti does a monologue. It is just there for titillation in the way better shows were accused of but not really actively doing.

Lost: I feel like they should be complaining about food more and they should all have more sunburns.

The West Wing: Every episode feels like taking a medicine that makes you sicker. It makes me feel like I am arguing with Hillary Clinton supporters in 2015 again.

Newsradio: It has a certain rhythm that is better than most sitcoms but it isn't really funny. Seeing Joe Rogan and Andy Dick in starring roles is so bizarre.

Frasier: There is no way I will make it through 11 seasons of this. When it comes to sitcoms, I wonder how much of the praise for something like this comes from having to sit through the Home Improvements and Everybody Loves Raymonds of the world. Compared to those shows it might be great but the 1990's had The Simpsons, Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show, and King of the Hill.

 

Everybody Loves Raymond is good though weirdo

 

Yeah and while Tim Allen sucks, Home Improvement was also a fantastic show

 

People should just leave Richard Simmons alone

I actually showed an episode to my AP Lit class for that exact reason
