Buyers and growers need to move beyond THC % being the end all be all for growing and purchasing. Been learning a ton about more of the other cannabinoids from my time off from consuming THC. Found some really awesome growers who are growing hemp style plants that have tiny, tiny amounts of THC but high in CBD along with other cannabinoids. You really need to activate both your CB1 and CB2 receptors with those other 'noids that are not THC. THC just hammers your CB1 and by using hemp it can help mitigate some issues that come from high THC usage.

 

Testing companies also need more regulation because reported THC%s are wildly inaccurate.

 

Yeah I am sure you have heard more than I have but the stories that I have heard on what is going on to get those numbers up is kind of wild.

 

what should I look for on an edible’s package label?

 

As far as other cannabinoids besides THC and THCV (would be surprised if an edible has that one), you are looking for things like CBD, CBC, CBG, and CBN.

My guess is there is not a ton of brands that are doing those with THC in them as well other than CBD. So you might have to supplement your THC gummies with another gummy that has some of these in them. I know the WYLD brand (they do THC gummies in my state) has some versions of CBD + another one like CBC that you can buy online but I have not used them myself.

Testing labs get away with being the most corrupt aspect of the industry. It's really scary. "Oh our whole flower room got a nasty powdery mold outbreak? Go ahead and spray eagle20, we'll just have [testing lab] charge us extra for the pass."
