I'm really hoping for a quad core mac mini. I don't know why, I know I'm going to be disappointed, but I really want it to happen. I want to be able to bring my own monitors without sacrificing power (mac mini of old) or price (I'm not paying $3k for a Mac Pro)

This new iphone is tight. I need a better screen protector though. This one has bubbles galore.

Got the otter box screen cover for 30 at my sprint store. Laid on perfect and I see virtually no fingerprints unless my fingers were fresh off a meal.

Is there any way to use my iPhone to control iTunes on my PC? I remember there used to be that iTunes remote thing so you'd use your phone to select songs etc.

Essentially I want to be able to tell Siri to play a song and have it play through iTunes but I have a feeling that only works for mac now.

Careful, folks around here will jump to tell you how foolish and pointless a screen protector is on an iPhone, despite most people knowing multiple friends with scratched or spidered iPhone screens lol

you've never scratched your screen? Never ever?

  10. nope - never scratched it never dropped it and cracked it etc etc

I've never seen a screen protector protect any phone from cracking its display

  11. also I'm so ready for the whining that will happen next week after the Apple event

the complaining about how the MacBook Pro or the iMac haven't changed their bodies since 2012 are people who don't understand one lick of good design.

The old "I've never had it happen so it's not an issue" argument

Also if you think people use a screen protector to keep their screen from cracking then shame on you for being uneducated

My iPhone slipped off my lap about 3ft from the ground with no downward force other than gravity and the entire screen went to bits. There were shards coming off. Cost me £100 to fix without Apple Care.

My girlfriend's brother did the same thing with a screen protector and was able to take off the cracked screen protector and his screen was fine.

I will never not use one again despite hating them.

  16. How did his phone fall compared to yours? Different pressure points on the device and depending on how many times a device has been dropped can weaken those points. The results of those drops have more to do with that than the screen protector

The "does a screen protector save my phone from shattering" line is controversial but irrelevant, they *do* protect your screen from getting scratched, and I would much rather have my $3 glass screen protector get scratched up than my $700 phone's screen.

  18. Need to get a laptop, I'm really excited for the new MacBook Pros. I'm hoping I can get one. If not then maybe just getting the 2015 MacBook Pro. They're so nice. I sold my MacBook Air for an iPad Pro. I love it for note taking and just a lot of productivity in college, but it's not super fun doing a bunch of research and writing a 7 page paper on it

I don't really know anything about MacBooks - when the new ones come out, which of the previous models should I keep an eye on for price drops?

I always tell people to check in with your local Best Buy and use that open box policy. You can wind up with some insanely good deals.

Can't wait for the Air pods. I think the only thing i'll have to get use to is not being able to turn the volume up/down without the cord option.
