Hoping we get some SLS and Gaslight headlining dates soon. Definitely the two tours I’m most looking forward to that have been heavily hinted at.

    idk man

I'm genuinely curious if Spanish Love Songs is big enough to draw a headliner anymore. I don't remember how that last headliner of theirs sold and that last album didn't make as big of a wave as people expected.

I'm shocked that Hangout and Coachella share a headliner and that Hangout announced first.

They have pretty much said a spring headliner is happening. It obviously won’t be big venues, but the band definitely has enough of a following to do 300-500 cap rooms.

Oh shit! That is really good to know! Hah. Would be really fun if they did what they did a few years back and did a pre-show indoors at the Stone Pony in addition to the main show. With the indoor show being the "songs we don't play very often" and the main show being an album play.

Gonna have to keep an eye out for both of those... The Bosstones breaking up has opened that week up for me as far as shows go, hah.

I was thinking about SLS the other day and their general popularity these days. I feel like they were running really strong, garnering buzz, and such pre-pandemic but it felt like things sort of halted for them as far as growth goes.

But I've also never been to any of the shows they've opened recently so I can't really gauge what the crowd response is.

  7. Reading all of these new festival lineups, I thought David Kushner was David Koechner.

I agree their momentum has slowed, and No Joy wasn't as well received as their last two albums (despite it still being really good). I was at their headliner last May in Cleveland - they played a 350 cap venue and I think it was sold out? Either way, the show was packed and the crowd response was good. That was months before No Joy came out. I would imagine/hope they also picked up some new fans on the Hot Mulligan tour, which was playing some pretty big venues.

So I think they could comfortably headline venues that are 400-700 cap. Maybe a little bigger in larger cities.

Reports from Friday's show were he was a drunken mess....yelling at the crowd, etc....could have just been a bad night

He generally looks....not well these days. Odd to make a choice to START drinking in your 40s.

Brian had an off night on the anniversary of close one's death. Played a show the next night and was fine. Played several others before and was fine.

No need to get weird or speculate literally anything after one bad show

brian has pretty noticeably gained a ton of weight the last few years (so did i!!!) but i dont know what else about him i could see as 'not looking well'. sure, anything can be going on behind closed doors that we arent aware of but, this forum has gotten really unnecessarily weird about him the last week because of what seems like one off night.

also let the man drink, who cares? lol

Bad bands touring together instead of with good bands feels like a net positive for all of us
