I wish I enjoyed AEW more than I do at the moment. It still feels too unfocused for me on a weekly basis, and I have a hard time getting invested in most of the stories going on. That said, I still buy every ppv and go to the shows when they're in town to support because monopolies are bad and if we're going to capitalism we gotta capitalism right and that means competition baby

  3. I’ve said it before but there’s been stretches over the last year or two where TNA has had a better product than WWE or AEW by quite a bit

TLDR watch TNA if you have free time

I already devote so much weekly time to WWE and AEW that I just can't devote more time to another promotion, but I have heard from multiple people that TNA/Impact has had some impressive runs over the last several years.

And really, it wouldn't have been too hard to be better than some of the stuff WWE was putting out there through much of the 2000-teens. It's funny, it doesn't expressly stand out to be as being as bad as it largely was until I look some of the cards from back then and just groan.

My grace period for being able to stay up all night watching wrestling is diminishing but the WWE shows take 45 minutes tops all together. NXT probably takes the longest.

  7. Right now is the best WWE has been since 2013-2104

it is a good mania. I put it on one time at a party full of the least likely people to ever watch wrestling and they all got sucked into it.

Yup i'm on the same page as you. Something about the entire presentation in WWE programming just ruins any interest for me. I think it just reminds me of the decade plus of mostly filler bullshit they used to throw at their fans. Idk if it's that way anymore.

I am rooting for it though now that Vince is gone and Trips is there, I do think it's possible I start watching more WWE this year especially with Dunn gone. I am semi-excited about the Mania build because I think it's going to be among the best Manias in a long time.

I want both companies to do great and take care of it's wrestlers/employees and create a space where there is healthy competition and variety. I think we are there more or less right now.

    The comparing is exhausting though.

Idk if it's just because of I am lukewarm af on wrestling right now but I am not captivated by the way Danielson/Okada wrestle each other, they both were good matches but just seem so slow to me. It's not my style I guess. I want flippy-dippy shit.

I don't think Danielson/Okada have great in-ring chemistry with each other. Neither match has wowed me

I know I haven’t posted in like 3 months, I just wanted to pop in and express my disgust with Dolph Ziggler using his clout to get his terrible brother involved in WrestleKingdom.

See you all in 6 months when I get caught back up on wrestling. Love you all. (Not Dan)

Its weird, their styles should mesh so well, but for some reason they just dont click. They keep wrestling these brusing-style matches, which works if you are Mox/Eddie or Gunther/Sheamus...but D-Bry just isnt believable in that style unless he's just getting chopped to pieces.

And I think Danielson has slowed down enough the last couple of years that he cant do the stuff that an Ospreay/Kenny/Jay White do to gain an advantage on Okada til he dropkicks them. Funny enough, Hangman and MJF could do those for their matches with Danielson.

Probably not an accident that Danielson/ZSJ and Danielson/MJF worked so well, because Bryan was forced to do more mat-based stuff where he's been practicing for like a decade in that safer style

If next year's mania is indeed in Minnesota then I'm definitely making the 5 hours drive mainly for this.

I know a lot of people don't like him (and I can't blame them) but this in fact was amazing.
