I don't mind the occasional run by a thrown together tag team, but that list above are all natural tag teams. AEW could easily have the best tag division in the world rn. But it is rly stale atm.

Also, unrelated: has there been any tv time for Nyla Rose, Matt Sydal or Johnny TV in the last months?

 

Danielson vs Shingo would feed families

 

Sydal had a Pure title match last Rampage and has basically had a handful of tag matchs with CD.

 

Nyla and Johnny have been on ROH

 

Also a lot of injuries on that list recently (Fenix, Quinn, Dante, Chuck, Mark Davis). That plus the trios stuff & the mini faction warfare that comes & goes every few weeks.

 

Danielson vs. Desperado would absolutely bang. Desperado's been on a hell of a run since like 2021

 

Nyla is clearly their female Archer; she’s basically a “break glass when you need a filler feud”. Johnny, no idea why they signed him honestly

 

They’ve consistent had 2-3 womens feuds going at a time lately (but still need to get more 10+ min womens matches on dynamite); so hopefully with the returns and signings they’ll have the steady vet presence to carry more segments

 

Even if the signings don’t happen, the roster is extremely talented and is going to need the time. You can tell there has been more of an effort lately, but obviously not perfect.

Even the work with Ruby and Cool Hand Ang has been fun.
