Great to see La notte on there. It is usually seen as the lower film in the trilogy but it is the best one.

My mother wanted to see Boys in the Boat so I took her because it’s something my dad would’ve gone with her to and seeing a movie is easy time for me to spend with her. It was the perfect dad/older person (offensively) non offensive film I could’ve taken her to. Still better than Next Goal Wins.

 

I got a screener of it and my parents have already watched it twice. This would have made $100 million+ if it was 1998.

Great news. Disney built much of its empire on stories in the public domain and then helped lobby for longer and longer copyright periods.

 

They should have gotten even more extensions.

Yea it’s better that this stuff is all falling into the public domain. More access to creators is always a good thing. Sure there will be terrible money grabbing schlock, but there will also eventually be projects that will at the very least be interesting compared to the safe milquetoast content Disney has favored in recent years.
