    Warning in the D tier

Damn, Kenai! I haven't listened to them in a hot minute. I'm pretty sure I saw them play around the time they released their Closer cover.

    Dilemma is pretty sweet.

I love that they pulled back the studio beefiness on these and, for the most part, just let the songs be the songs. That quality and the overall sound makes these feel very Nimrod/Warning, which is very cool.

I’ve seen the flipside where some people online and even my own father(of all MFers)-in-law receive that lack of extra studio beefiness as a lack of oomph that is needed. I can see that but they’ve done the oomph for the last 20 years and it hasn’t been my bag. I welcome songs that sound like Green Day and don’t have too much else laid on top.

Chorus of the new song sounds like Weezer to me (a compliment from me, a Weezer fan)

Looks like they'll be playing the NBC New Year's show this year. Five songs including "Dilemma."

It really irks me that I've been a SiriusXM subscriber for like, 15+ years now and I constantly get emails to win tickets to like, Dua Lipa or Counting Crows and other stuff I don't care about... But the one time there's a literal subscriber-only event I might actually want to attend the entry form isn't working in the app for me. LOL

  17. I'd just try to win tickets to every concert that popped up in that app, personally, haha. Especially if Dua Lipa's name popped up on there.

I would get absolutely nothing out of a show like that. Free or not. Haha. I've tried attending a bigger pop show like that before where I don't care at all about the artists and... I just wind up hating it. It says more about me and my general relationship with music, live performance, and such than it does the artists though so I 100% get the energy and wouldn't blame people who do that. LOL

Regardless, this is a very refreshing album rollout from this band. Ever since Warning they seem to be on this trend of missing the mark and feeling a bit lazy... And then coming back super inspired and ready to prove themselves again.

I'm not talking about the album quality (mostly, hah) or the live shows so much as just the general marketing and how aggressive they are with wanting to tell people about the record. If that makes sense. Hah.

GREEN DUDES BEST GREEN DAY PODCAST Prestigious

Personally, I think I deserve press passes to this show for running a wildly successful Green Day podcast.

Had a 4 hour drive yesterday and the new Sirius channel is great. About 90% Green Day and 10% other artists the band recommends. But be warned, Trilogy songs are present!

Yeah, I’ve been listening to the new SiriusXM channel today and it’s really great. Love the little insights from the band between songs. I believe I heard Mike talking about how he had a soft spot for Tre from the trilogy, which mirrors how I feel haha. Also mentioned that in retrospect, he thinks “Dos” should have been a Foxboro album.

Glad it wasn't so it didn't tarnish the good name of Foxboro! And I'm a Trilogy apologist haha

What was up with that NYE performance? Two AI songs and no new songs?…
