how big was your school? we had like 400 kids total from 9-12

 

1500-1600 total, about 400 per grade

 

Truly I just do not want to watch Mac or Zappe throw to Davante Parker anymore lol. Idc if it’s good draft strategy or not, I just simply can not watch more of Zappe and Jalen Reagor lol

 

What’s funny about this, is the teachers of my hardest classes loved me, because I was actually engaged with the content and enjoyed learning

All my math and science teachers liked me, but AP English? Fuck am I gonna learn from reading Wuthering Heights and Madam Bovary, I hated those books lmao. Wasn’t long till I was only reading spark notes and making excuses for essays that were late cause I didn’t wanna write a bullshit essay about why Heathcliff / Ms Bovary are asshole characters with no character development lol

 

AP chemistry and AP calculus were actually my favorite subjects haha

I did not like any class that required a lot of reading and writing and memorizing facts but I quite enjoyed the stuff that can be taught via theory

 

I only ever missed school for chicken pox or when I faked sick. Not sure I ever missed a day for any legit illness but chicken pox

 

If I’m a fan of any team, or a member of the organization, I’m not banking on finding a starting offensive lineman in free agency. I know good ones make their way there from time to time, but feels like a red herring in most cases

For sure, but I think it’s worth pointing out that stud WRs are available every offseason and there will be some to keep an eye on this upcoming offseason (Aiyuk, Pittman, Higgins, maybe even Jefferson).

I’m not suggesting they should pass on QB and WR both in favor of an OT (I think they should take a QB). I’m just saying that, if their plan to address the line is signing someone in free agency to become a starter, that’s probably not a good plan.

 

Howell also just holds the ball too long on a very regular basis. That’s gonna take a toll no matter what. He’s got to understand that unless his team has an elite line, he HAS to play faster and take the easy answer more often. Teams just blitz you and make it impossible for plays to develop when you try to go for the longer-developing reads too often.

Even though he is really good at finding opportunities to throw medium-distance downfield passes, his pocket presence suffers in the process of him expecting to be able to do that consistently behind Washington’s line, and absolutely nobody plays their best when they expose their body to that many hits over a season. He’s brave / tough about it, but he’s sabotaging himself until he speeds up his process

 

Except for against the Eagles

 

Yeah. Like after a season behind an OL not much better than saloon doors, he still hasn’t gotten that good at getting rid of the ball. He’ll have good games where he does here and there but it’s not consistent. Frustrating.

Honestly this year of watching Press Taylor’s offense has taught me something really important about football strategy

The first step of having a smooth running offense is making it hard for the opponent to blitz. There are so many factors that go into a good offense vs a bad offense, but if teams have no incentive not to blitz you, you’re automatically gonna have a bad offense

I will never actively suspend a kid, especially for fighting or just being a dick. Keep them at school and put them to work - it's much worse of a punishment.

I've had to let a few kids go from sports due to arrests/drug tests and it's still tough. It has to be a legitimately serious offense or a series of them for me to take that away from them.
