doesn't really solve the problem though, because people will still speculate (in here) about how Weezer is touring with Balance and Composure and Cannibal Corpse or whatever

personally, I think we should have a "tour announcements" thread where nothing is posted except for announcements (and maybe discussion of those announcements) and then a thread for everything else (speculation, nostalgia, etc...)

but I digress, one thread is probably enough, I just have to weed through the nonsense, much like the rest of the internet

 

I like all the diversions and digressions, although I also think we should have just renamed this to the Tour Forum Chat Thread or something with the Chorus transition.

 

We'd all still just be weeding through tour announcements for artists we've never heard of/don't care about, so I don't see discussion in here along with announcements being much different. I'm always just skimming through the replies until I see a band I know/like/can read the logo for.

 

This thread is on point 40% of the time, then the rest is like wading through the bog of eternal stench.

 

obviously there's no way to filter out tour announcements based off of personal preference, but I don't need to see "speculation" about tours that have a negative chance of happening.

 

How did we possibly make it through 2665 pages on the other thread without this discourse starting?

personally idgaf. You’re all nice enough and know what you’re talking about. If it’s a light day for announcements and the conversation strays a bit or new chorus lore is made that’s fine by me.

now if stuff is actually getting announced and I miss it because there’s 5 pages of Weezer jokes? That’s annoying— but it doesn’t happen often enough for me to bitch about it

 

Slowdive is upgrading venues for their spring dates so if you had a sold out show check and see if it’s moved to a bigger venue.
