Elsa Bloodborne and Moon Knight are the only two interesting characters in there right now.

Interesting that they're not involving Black Knight seeing as how he's interacted with Blade. I realize he's Eternals-adjacent, but still. Also interesting that they're not involving Dr. Strange. Or Man-Thing, for that matter.

Or maybe they are, never trust the rumor mill.

 

One of the more credible leakers has teased that Man-Thing actually is involved

 

I’m sure Ted will be involved with Werewolf by Night being in the team.

Wong being on the team makes sense. They’ll want the Sorcerer Supreme. Strange will be away doing whatever it is Clea is up to.

 

Probably because Stange will be pre-occupied with Clea in the dark dimension

 

Fair point about Strange, although I guess it depends on when one happens vs. the other.

2021:

1 - Captain America 4 (have Sam become Cap, could use assist from Bucky and Ant-Man; set up Secret Invasion)

2 - Thor 4 (remain as is when it comes to plot)

3 - Captain Marvel 2 (introduce Ms Marvel, set up Secret Invasion)

2022:

4 - Strange 2 (combine elements of WV, forget multiverse plot, Wanda still becomes an antagonist)

5 - Shang-Chi (remain as is but could also set up Secret Invasion)

6 - Wakanda Forver (remain as is)

2023:

7 - GOTG3 (remain as is)

8 - Armor Wars (major set up to Secret Invasion)

9 - Moon Knight film

2024:

10 - Spider-Man: No Way Home (first glimpse into multiverse and phase 5)

11 - Avengers: Secret Invasion

Then let phase 5 bring in more of the multiverse and Young Avengers after their intro in phase 4 films.

 

I don't see the point in this.

It condenses some of the shows into the films, which would potentially make the films overstuffed and we miss out on a lot of character moments and plot development that was possible from having miniseries-length adventures.

It erases other shows and films, like Loki, Eternals, She-Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye, and feel however you want about them, but I don't see why they should be erased just because some people didn't enjoy them.

The only major changes it makes is including Armor Wars here without indicating why or what purpose it would serve, and bringing the Avengers into Secret Invasion, which I get it, a lot of fanboys are upset that they didn't do that.

I don't see how this would improve on anything. All it does is rearrange what we already have.

 

Tbh a lot of the shows would have been better off condensing it to a 2 hour film. The only shows that I feel like capitalized off the show format was WandaVision and Loki.

 

I think She Hulk gets a bad rap

And Falcon And Winter Soldier had some interesting moments.

So I would keep F&WS, Loki, WandaVision, She Hulk,& Hawkeye for shows.

I mean, I think this is a super weird hypothetical since 95% of these things have already happened

 

They wouldn’t have been erased, just pushed into phase 5 (Loki for example) so that phase 4 wouldn’t have felt like a massive “let’s see what stick” and had a clearer direction. Phase 4 would have been a Secret Invasion arc and phase 5 would be when the multiverse is explored.

She-Hulk could be put into something that built up Secret Invasion (with a writing team that’s competent, so basically the opposite of what we got), but it wasn’t in the post I copied so I didn’t include it.

It’s more of an attempt to make each phase distinctive instead of focusing on so many different plot points.

Sorry, that was during hour 7 of the last 80 hours of Marvel material released over the last 3 years. My bad if I forgot.

 

This is subjective and not worth really going back and forth over. I mean, I remember the same points were made by some critics about the Netflix shows too, and I really disagree. Those little inconsequential character moments are why I love the format. I would watch Sam try to get a loan on his house all damn day.

And I don't know what that means about "capitalized off the show format".

 

Sam could have tried to get a loan for his house in a 2 hour film, not a 4.5 hour show
