waves is incredible. i haven't thought much of it comes at night since but i enjoyed it in the theater. and krishna is even better than waves

 

I love all of his films and would very much like a new one.

 

I still can't believe Taylor Russell wasn't an Oscar nom for Waves.

 

AMC is becoming unbearable. It is 33 minutes past the posted showtime and it is still in trailers. This is why people want to see these things at home.

 

Lmao I'm literally in the same exact situation and was also coming here to say freestyle machines suck

What's worse is my local chain cinema is inconsistent, might be 8mins or 35. Cant even plan against it

 

Yeah when we went to see Minus One it was probably 30 min of trailers

 

The first time I saw 30 minutes of trailers was Force Awakens. It seemed excessive but it was the biggest event movie in years so I didn’t think too much of it. Can’t believe that’s the norm now. The Holdovers had 25 minutes.

I miss living by the cool historic theater that always had just one trailer.

 

Mine always starts 30 mins after the listed time so I just show up 25 mins late.

 

When i was younger the theaters where i lived would list the show time and the time the actual movie starts

 

Trailers are one thing but they insert a few random commercials in there now too and it feels bleak every time one pops up

 

Man, I love seeing trailers in theaters and I don't have to worry about being late by a few minutes because the movie doesn't start til 25 minutes after the time listed.

 

As long as I make it in time to see Nicole Kidman I'm good

 

I haven't seen a movie in a theater in like, 8 years?? So there idea of watching 30 minutes of trailers you could just watch on YouTube at home, and can't skip, is just insane to me

There's things I want to see at home and things I want to see at the theater. I like getting dumb popcorn and feeling like I'm getting out and doing something even though I'm doing nothing different.

 

Worst offense was when I saw Dead Reckoning and they showed a 5 minute featurette about Tom Cruise and then another one specifically on the making of the car chase.
