Beans are "fine" in chili, but I definitely prefer beanless chili if it's made RIGHT

 

Kinda like burritos. I'm "okay with" beans but I prefer actually really well seasoned rice and veggies, the bean flavor kinda dominates the burrito once you put beans in it.

I find this kind of bewildering though: the taco place next to the comedy club, one of the only places reliably fast and open till midnight... something about the way they season their steak and chicken doesn't taste that good by itself, but tastes AMAZING with the beans. Can't put my finger on it, but that's the only burrito place I order from that I actually leave the beans in my burrito. Chipotle i'd rather get the veggies, Taco Bell I'd rather just get extra cheese, but Ruben's beans are somehow really good lol

 

That's a nice gesture, aww. Don't worry about it. Being broke sucks, but the cool thing about service industry is you can always pick up more shifts / busier shifts than the ones you're working
