I heard Exhibit of the Year on a Vagrant Records comp around 2005 and it has occasionally gotten stuck in my head ever since. I never really dug any of their records though.

 

Their first album is super catchy. I was totally convinced that they were going to blow up like Yellowcard or something like that back in the day lol. Never really got into their second one.

These guys were like a clone of Hit The Lights

 

Really missing the hard rock band Hurt. Four albums plus independent releases.

Musically had an Alice In Chains 90s alternative core with strings and piano flourishes on several songs and some really dark, introspective lyrics.

Not a lot of bands out there like them, and it's a shame, cause I'd trade ten hard rock/post-grunge bands for one of them.
