This feels like a borderline monopoly. Also, damn, if that’s not the two worst companies. Paramount vowed basically to stop making original content and Max just gets rid of everything. Truly sucks.

 

I feel like paramount pumps out a lot of content for middle aged dudes? Have they stopped or changed that going forward?

 

Watched Palm springs for the first time since it came out and still think it's great. A nice and tight 90 minutes.

We finally powered through West Wing and just started The Sopranos. Episode one was ok.

 

Yeah Paramount has really covered the middlebrow drama market for the 35-54 YO demo.

 

Lets just take a checklist here of Paramount's most valuable IP that WBD would get

• TMNT - $17 billion
• Dora - $16 billion.
• Spongebob - $14 billion
• Star Trek - $11 billion
• Mission: Impossible - $4 billion

I turned 38 the other day. Welp.

 

Paramount making content for the middle aged is a step up considering for decades it was most known for making TV shows for the elderly.

 

You could be middle aged at 22 if you die at 44

 

always thinking positive, I love it.

 

The Bas Reeves show on Paramount is great, feels like a completely different show than the rest of the Sheridan stuff.

 

I got bored with it and gave up like 3 episodes in. Felt like more of the same to me.

 

I don't think Sheridan wrote that one. Just produced it.

 

Since we are on the topic of Paramount+ shows: please go watch Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. It has has very little barrier for entry in terms of prior knowledge of the franchise, and it is the best new Star Trek series in probably 25 years. Its the first live action Trek in ages that actually captured the tone and spirit of it.

I honestly think it is far better than anything Disney+ has done with Star War/MCU besides maybe Andor.
