I’d say it depends how qualified your general dentist is. I am assuming your dentist does surgeries (implants & extractions for example) so it’s prob fine! Highly doubt they’d offer to do it themselves if not experienced haha

However, I’m getting mine out in a few weeks too and am going to a surgeon. I was referred and didn’t have a choice, but personally I think I just feel better being at an oral surgeons office for it. The older you get there is some risk of hitting the nerves, so give me the surgeon lol

 

Getting my wisdom teeth out was a blast. Didn’t feel anything during the procedure and I got to miss two days of school. They gave me good pain meds for after. My mom bought me eternal sunshine on dvd. I got high when I got home and watched it while my mom brought me milkshakes all afternoon. Then after a nap I played Mario kart double dash for a few hours before going to bed. I’m sorry this can’t be everyone’s experience.

 

Got my wisdom teeth out over Christmas break in like 2010 I think. Didn’t get to miss any school.

Left work early yesterday and have been downing DayQuil since but still don’t feel great!

I called out last 2 days and actually feel worse today. Love it!

To be fair I was partially burning sick days to use up. However, now I’m out of them and am a weak body today worse than the others

I got 3 wisdom teeth removed, still no idea how I had 3 and not 4

 

i got 2 removed, never had top ones. they didn’t give me any drugs after but it was fine.

no dry sockets bc i followed the rules
