See, I’m down for a 45-60 minute commute if I’m going somewhere cool. Hell no I won’t drive 50 minutes to Frederick for dinner but I will drive 60 minutes to DC or 45 to Annapolis for dinner

unfortunately most people are not like this. I thought moving to Baltimore wouldn’t be a big deal for me, musician-wise, cause I go back and forth all the time, but it’s actually REALLY HARD to get my DC audience to come to Baltimore shows and vice versa. I have to just separately promote my DC shows in DC and my Balt shows in Balt lol

took me an entire year and a half to feel like “okay, my draw is legit in both places” haha cause there’s almost zero overlap between the two in terms of people who are locally interested in my act

 

Why name an interim GM unless they’re seriously considering keeping him as permanent GM? You can’t trade anyone right now, I wouldn’t want a rush interim GM doing contract deals and why would they bother looking ahead towards the draft, a real GM should be in place by then.

But then again, this is the Chargers lol

 

Still gotta do the keep the lights on role — fill in gaps when players hit IR (which I’d imagine a bunch of the bigger guys/expiring contracts will now that it’s officially a tank season), tryouts/practice squad updates, etc

Also, man I did not watch the 63-21 (lmao!!!!) Raider Chargers game and I’m still so fuckin confused. What the fuck happened and why lol. An Aidan O’Connell offense scored SIXTY THREE POINTS? What??

 

I laugh every time I think about that score. Just the silliest shit that’s ever happened in football. It’s one thing when like, an elite offense scores 63 against a team that isn’t making the playoffs, but the Raiders?? After they downgraded from Carr to Jimmy and then Jimmy got hurt??? Even for the CHARGERS this is a wildly unprecedented low point

Loved that tweet that explained that on the pick six the defender had to reach BACKWARDS to catch the ball. He knew the play so far in advance and moved so quickly he almost MISSED the interception. Like those times a field goal almost gets blocked but the defenders dives/jumps too early and misses the ball lmao

we're in the west LA/sawtelle area. we wanted to try something new for a bit since we both are able to work remote (and my brother lives here so it was an opportunity to be closer to him). its been a tough year health wise for my gf and she's felt pretty isolated socially as a result. not really a fault of LA just more the circumstances of life.
