also I decided Immortals of Aveum is irredeemable dogwater.

 

I had entire areas not loading in, and found myself walking on a textureless plank in puzzle sections trying to figure out how to proceed when I can't see any of the actual parts of the puzzle

I liked the game a lot when it was working but that stuff like that was horrible

idk, the shooting just doesn't have much impact and the traversal options don't really gel together, it almost actively keeps you from building momentum.

And the graphics are nowhere good enough given the performance. I guess calling it dogwater was a bit much but my god it's aggressively mid.

 

Yeesh that is terrible. Finding everything on Zeffo is hard enough when the game is running perfectly!

 

I tried BG3 on the 2 hour trial last night and did not play very long because I was confused and it was late. I'll probably try again tonight.

 

It's wild how the Survivor experience varied. I had little to no issues on PS5.

I'd like to go back and try the platinum eventually.

 

It's not a huge time suck really, I think you could technically get it all on one playthrough. I had to start a second run on it just because I missed some of the interactions with Merrin on my first playthrough.

 

the "issues" with Survivor were mainly performance/resolution related, so if you're generally not bothered by that, you would probably have been fine.

that said upscaling from 720p in the year of our lord 2023 should land you in the hague.

 

I’ll get to survivor eventually, I played a tad bit of fallen order on gamepass before I got rid of the service and enjoyed it

 

Kind of glad they're choosing to focus on their strengths rather than pursue a live service game.
