I genuinely do not understand what is scummy about it and what problem the gaming industry has with it.

 

Anyone else curious where all those games are the got announced at the PS5 reveal showcase?

They're just somewhere lost in space and time.

 

I think gamers just effing hate everything lol

 

I don't think devs who want to be respected and valued for their time and effort as the industry undergoes horrible changes just hate everything.

 

I mean if you watch the show, they rush the awards part, they push a bunch of the awards to the pre-show, they don’t even give the people time to accept the awards. It’s very clear they care more about the ads and world premieres than the awards. It’s not really even an opinion at this point. The awards part sucks and doesn’t respect these people

 

I think they do hate everything and have the right to hate everything, that's an industry problem and its gross, its not a video game awards problem

Legend was really my very first introduction to FF/SaGa. While I liked the first games it was the Legend 2 that hooked me for sure. It has a great story even back then.....I still remember all the times my party would die, we'd get revived by Odin and then later on we have to fight him! And the music! The search for our Dad. Robots and mutants ftw. But yeah same I bought it and while I can appreciate it.....those random battles and the clunky exploration is not something I like haha.

 

you can what me either way, this is still a problem in the big picture and is only normalized because there is no respect to devs to begin with

 

Yeah and the game awards have had every opportunity to do the opposite and actually respect them and choose not to

So you're either part of the problem or part of the solution

They chose the former which is disheartening

 

I also think that Geoff originally meant well and he made people care even slightly about TGA with the premieres when it probably would’ve been a dud and wouldn’t still be happening. It’s not like he’s the first one to try this. But I think it’s moved passed the awards and they just don’t care anymore. Just commit to being a showcase if you can’t honor these people, especially in one of the most fucked up years for the industry.

 

Would anybody say this is worth $8?

Hey I kinda liked it. I noticed on the PS store there was a free trial of it the other day so I tried it out and it wasn't BAD. Worst thing I'd say is the main character and cringe dialogue but exploring and fights were alright. I'd buy it for $8.

It’s really infuriating that it still costs so much to expand the Series X storage. I refuse to pay more than $100 for a 1tb drive when I was able to get a 2tb drive for my PS5 for $100. It’s just annoying to have to manage my storage on there every time there’s a new game.

If you’re into the concept of awards then the D.I.C.E. Awards are a way better option. The Game Awards really should just be a showcase.

 

The joke is in poor taste considering what the developers dealt with, but COD having better metrics than GOW is not the flex that person thinks it is.
