  1. The other losses I feel like we had some built-in but worthy excuses. This game isn’t the case. Completely blew their shot at 3 points. And Newcastle up next.

  2. Paqueta tripping himself and elbowing Kulu but Kulu getting called for a foul was a great ending to the match.

what a great group of midweek games

  4. I just need to keep telling myself that we’re still only a few months into the new project and still working on turning over the squad. From that perspective, it’s been great. But this one hurts.

This is your life, are you who you want to be?

Spurs really are the gift that keeps on giving. Incredible.

Yeah, the last 5 have sucked. Injuries caught up, players that we do have aren’t good enough and the system is still being learned by a lot of them. It’s disheartening when we’ve looked good in spurts, but it is what it is

Can’t wait for Levy to do nothing in January

With half of our first team out, so Spursy!!

    How original

  11. Should we put our start of the season in a trophy case? Is that the next joke?

This current team might be battling for a Europa league spot without Rodri (and KDB). Pretty big failure not offering Gundo a new two year deal IMO.

    It's all hell.

I thougut Bowen was quality vs Spurs. I didn't know he had the qualities of a number 9 but he held the ball up so well and was a menace to the Spurs defence, and finished well.

Pretty much what Spurs have been missing.

  19. I think we’re missing a consistent aerial presence in the box. On defense, it’s due to injuries. But in the attack, we just don’t have that guy. Richarlison has proven to not be good enough overall and he’s the only threat in the air.

The other part of that is Ange seems to prefer low crosses. Which has benefited us some with a couple own goals and deflections. But when teams load the box it’s really hard for those lower crosses to get anywhere.

  21. Semi-unrelated…

The NBA is having the semi-finals of the inaugural in-season tournament tonight and it’s been interesting watching American sports fans react to the idea of an in-season competition that’s separate from the regular season/playoffs. A lot of fans have embraced it. The teams and players have embraced it. But there are also a lot of fans who’s brains explode trying to understand why they should care about it lol

I hope more American sports leagues start doing something similar. We’re already seeing the benefit of smaller teams having something to play for. Much like we see in European soccer cup competitions.

I’d love for baseball to try something like it. Make the month of July or something just a tournament

Think it went pretty well for MLS too, although none of those matches counted toward the regular season.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I think our injury list might have finally caught up with us... Basically beat PSG away, strangled United at the weekend and then got splattered by Everton.

The Christmas fixtures could be absolute murder for us now.
