Oh I know; I just hated how obvious she was lol. Great match though.

 

I know it’s a bad take, but I just don’t care about Edge.

 

This TNT title match needs way more Nigel.

 

I also love me a good "face does something bad and it has consequences" angle to keep things going. And both guys look strong in the outcome...Edge succeeded in isolating Christian's allies before the match (until he lit up Nick Wayne). Christian was the ultimate opportunist...instead of relying on interference from Killswitch again and again.

 

Edge & Christian are miracles, i love them both so much

 

Totally forgot the Sukeban show was tonight. Would have loved to go but $60 felt steep. Also strange to book a late night Wednesday night skate park show in Miami yet very cool/unique.

It’s MJF until it isn’t, but Jay White and LA Knight get mentions from me.

 

dynamite thoughts:

- i like Rush, but there are so often still asterisks to his losses that i can't fully invest. if you can't survive eating a clean loss to fucking Mox without "but nuh uh!" theater after, i'll take ya less seriously than if you just lose.
- i like what they did with Skye & Julia, that the mist didn't so much corrupt Skye as give her an excuse to get pissed and reinvent herself a little.
- i was down on Lethal and Briscoe taking spots in C2 but ultimately they committed to them each being forced out of the block before match 4 which i think is very smart to establish the full spectrum of round robin logic so the mythical casual fan doesn't think it's a regular tourny w a bingo card
- Edge & Christian, man. multiple sequences in that match that were literally perfect, in a way i doubt their younger selves would have nailed near as crisply. i hope this feud and eventual tag reunion lasts at least a year, i don't think i've seen either guy more motivated

 

also, man, can we talk about the impact of Full Gear main event now? the crowd was apathetic to the max for anything but the name Jay in White's match, and i can't imagine next week's match against a literally eliminated Mark Briscoe is going to set the world on fire either. people don't have a reason to care about him and the C2 eliminating BCG tomfoolery is not doing him favors either

I’d say MJF, but I’ve been put off by his fatphobic comments in some of his promos.

he also called takeshita "take a shitta" which is lame and hacky.

LA Knight

 

MJF had some real weak moments while he was in the glow of a new babyface reaction, i def don't think it's him

 

A fired up Sami is still the best promo. LA Knight is the best talker right now. The promo he did after Bray passed was my favorite this year.

 

Hangman pretty consistently delivers and is able to make himself a threat even with his inconsistent booking. Also, can't not mention Cody. There are few people who can have the crowd in the palm of his hand the way he does

 

I will say I go into most of Cody’s segments thinking “this will suck” and he usually has the place going crazy by the end even if he doesn’t say much.

 

I kinda loved how Rush sold the finish of that match like he got choked out in the octagon lol
