They should let the winner count the championship game toward their regular season win total. Basically, they can use it as a tie breaker in playoff seeding. It would add an interesting wrinkle to the playoff race and give teams on the fringe of the play-in or ones trying to get out of the play-in an extra incentive.

I suspect that this change, and the change from point differential to total quarters won for tie breaks, will be implemented next year.

 

Running it up is good and fun. I enjoy it. The ONLY reason point differential is a bad idea is just the injury concern. Turn injuries off and i hope teams try to score 200.

One idea I heard that I don’t hate is that any win over a certain number (say 15) counts as a differential of said number.

Final is the spooky 83rd game that apparently doesn’t count for absolutely anything outside of the $$$. Win/loss/stats etc
