Orchid reunion tour happening, apparently. Only NE dates for now. This seems more like a Furnace Fest thing, but something to think about

They did book Ani Difranco last year, so I guess I have to say that Sheryl Crow is out as well

No Chicago on the tbs/citizen tour that ends in August

 

Would be happy to see both of those bands again after liking their new albums for the first time in years.

 

I'd say TBS is pretty much confirmed

GWAR just released spring tour dates without Chicago as well

Andrew WK is still on Mars or something

With all the recent tour announcements lately, I'm trying to keep track of bands that are out (Chicago date within 90) or probably out (outside of radius, but leaning doubtful) RIOT

Damon said Blur is going on hiatus - I thought they had an outside chance as being a headliner but if they were booked, I doubt he'd say anything yet

 

Man, that blows. I was really hoping we’d get a couple US dates from them next year. Been obsessing with their discography all year

 

A Ween album play is possible now, I guess?

 

Im surprised the last time Blur toured the US was in 2003 and then just a couple of shows in NY and California in 2013 and 2015.

They could do some coheadline with Pulp and do numbers. Not sure why both bands dont tour the US nor Canada

 

I think they still have this whole thing about how they never “made it” in the states outside of Song 2. And while they might not be huge, I think their legacy as a band has grown significantly since the last time they’ve played. I’ve seen the demand for them here too. I think a tour, even just a small one in more of the bigger cities would do pretty well.

 

They played MSG on their last tour in the States and headlined Coachella - They would've been a good band to play against NOFX - I think they are a bigger headliner than the Flaming Lips and up there with Beck, Modest Mouse

Also, Damon said he is working on new Gorillaz stuff - so they could be possible for next year

They are doing the album on Sept 27, because that's the date it was released in 1994

 

Pat Flynn purged his insta and changed his account name to havehearthc. Rumor is Have Heart is going to headline Tied Down in Detroit next year. They would be a phenomenal get

 

Would love that but he later added “band archive page” to the bio and Kai said this on Twitter. Unfortunately I think this might be nothing

 

Has anybody mentioned that the Taking Back Sunday summer tour doesn't have a Chicago date this year? LOL
