I don’t disagree with the committee’s decision, but it goes against 8 prior years of their decision making.

Texas has an argument. I don't think they're a top four team but they have an argument. Florida State's argument lives and dies by the belief that the only thing that matters is being undefeated.

fuck FSU but they have every reason to be annoying about this

  8. Well now we can stop pretending like the college football season means anything

And Alabama couldn't beat a team that couldn't hear Oklahoma. So they still shouldn't be in over Texas.

one would think but it wasn’t possible to put them in over Texas and Alabama. Reason 602 why the 4 team playoff is dumb and ending.

yes. Being undefeated in a power 5 whose conference had a better winning percentage rate against other power 5 conferences and not being in is absurd. It’s similar to the bills being better than the Steelers and not making the playoffs. Better teams sometimes get left out

Also, such trash that Washington gets shipped out to New Orleans. Who cares about proximity right?

FSU is automatically orange bowl. Ohio State might be, too, now that I think about it.

This is all about money and the fact that nobody would have watched Michigan-FSU and Michigan-Alabama will go monster numbers. Such BS.

Being undefeated alone does not mean you're one of the best teams.
Other teams in your conference beating worse teams in another conference means nothing.
43% of the NFL makes the playoffs. 3% of college football makes the playoffs. We don't have to pretend they're even remotely comparable.

Why would nobody have watched? Might it have something to do with the quality of the team?

  22. Nope the regular season means nothing - it’s just like any other sport now - it means a little something but now CFB fans can stop acting like the college football regular season is holy and that every game counts
