What I actually came in here to post is that I got someone into this band recently, then we started dating, it's going great and the long and short of it is she's coming with me to the Amsterdam show. 'I don't need a plan if I've got your hand' is just loaded with meaning for both of us now. Shoutout The Maine.

Yeah this remake does nothing for me, just makes the song slightly worse

 

Maybe this one will be a dud and they’ll stop doing alt versions for a while. I’d much rather hear demos or b-sides, if they’re going to drop a new song or two.

 

I told John how excited I was to hear the full version of "Love In Real Time" while chatting briefly after the Portland show last weekend. He didn't say anything about it, but had a big smile on his face. At least they know we want it.

 

Does anyone know what set times are for this tour? Debating about hitting up the Boston show next week

Portland show had two openers and The Maine didn't start till 9:30. I called the venue the day of the show and they relayed the info.

how was the show?

 

Loved it. Way better performance than when I saw them at a much smaller ballroom in 2019. The venue they played was better suited for how "big" they sound. Good energy, lively crowd. Band sounded great. Sound completely cut out during "How To Exit A Room" and the crowd kept the song going for a while. Great moment. We also got "Ice Cave" as a surprise that was dedicated to one of the sound guys. Not a fan of that album, but love that song. I ended up becoming a fan of some of their older material I didn't like after seeing those songs live. We were skipped for the XOXO tour and this show was their biggest one in Portland yet. Hope they do a proper tour for just the new album and come back soon.

I'm starting to go through the back catalogue in earnest after being directed toward Lovely Little Lonely (which absolutely rules) after the S/T and my god are they fucking up by not playing Slip the Noose every night of this tour

 

Does anyone know how to get a hold of customer service at 8123? I came home from the Portland show and reached out via email immediately to see if I could get a replacement shirt because the screen print is horribly misaligned. This has never happened before with a tour shirt. It looks terrible when I put it on and I’m not going to wear it. I’ve contacted twice with no reply.

 

That’s super annoying. I’d keep trying and reach out on instagram or Twitter. Someone might respond if they think you’ll deter others from buying merch

same thing happened to me when I recently saw the 1975. Thankfully I noticed while I was at the show so I walked up and told them. The guy tried acting like it was supposed to be like that lol

Great show in columbus. Shocked the size of the venue they sold out. Last saw them in 2019 in a waaaay smaller venue in Michigan.

Friday baby. I’ve never been in love with them live but I’m hoping for a good time. Flor always kills it.
