Spotify Wrapped 2023 Is Here

...Happy New Year? We've still got a month's worth of listening to do!

 

They stop taking in all of the listening data at the end of Ocober. Anything for rest of the year is not incuded.

 

Fascinating! That actually makes sense because my Wrapped top 5 excludes an artist that, according to my lastfm account, is my #3 artist from the past 12 months - but a huge chunk of that listening happened during these past few weeks.

 

I'm a top 1% Taylor Swift listener. That feels like an accomplishment.

I love Stats.fm for more in depth stats. The downside is you gotta pay and upload old data to get the whole picture.

This year they extended it mid-November.

 

Well that's lame. How else is the Chipmunks Christmas album ever going to break into my Top 5?!?

 

Mine's all skewed because my wife uses mine....now all I get is Justin Timberlake, Akon, Usher and Nelly.

 

I was able to squeeze blink in there tho!

 

Amazon Music (my main streaming source) just released their individualized "2023 Year-end Wrap-up Playlist" and apparently I (and my daughters) listened to a ton of Taylor Swift.

I have friends on social media who always roll their eyes and mock people posting their Wrapped but honestly I'm interested in it. I may have "obscure" music tastes compared to my friends but I feel the same about theirs and I like hearing new things.
