How happy are you for Nintendo right now?

Extremely! Too bad they tried to steal the thunder from SteamWorld Heist's American Wii U debut today though. As if we'd let them! Not even the Big N is capable of such a feat. But we're not unreasonable, of course. We can share the spotlight!

 

Switch is legit. Honestly believe it could be Wii levels of game changing. Havent been able to any other research other than watching the video but how powerful is this thing expected to be? What are the graphical differences between playing on a TV and the mobile screen?

 

No information. Given the size of the machine and that it plays Skyrim HD on the go, I'd say roughly as powerful as an Xbox One. Rumors have been saying this as well. I'm pretty sure the TV box does not add technical capability, it only connects the machine to an HDMI cord and to a power source (also for charging). Otherwise the only other explanation for what you see in the video would be that the TV box streams to the machine, but I highly doubt that given that the guy is on a airplane, in a car and in a park.

 

I'm not expecting it to be much more powerful than a Wii U honestly. It definitely won't be more powerful than an Xbone if it's even on that level.

 

I want the Switch and I want it now.

looks awesome, i love handhelds so much more than home consoles so this is perfect. anyone have any experience preordering a console through gamestop? is it like a game where you can go in and periodically pay it off?

Wow. Wow. This is the most excited I've been for a Nintendo...anything in quite some time. Maybe preorder worthy depending on release date.

YES. This lineup of developers is really something, though. More than we usually see from a Nintendo console, but a solid list regardless of the context.

 

Well the WiiU had support during the launch. It just died after. This slide doesn't necessarily mean anything. We can hope it blows up and all remain on board, but I'm never goung to expect more than Nintendo games and exclusives made by Japanese developers that made so many ganes for the handhelds.

 

It might be more viable for third party though, essentially making it possible to play console-level games portably, as opposed to like the 3ds which isn't nearly as powerful as consoles.
