I reinstalled Control after getting a bit into Alan Wake II, bounced off it pretty hard at the first difficult combat encounter because I HATED the checkpointing.

Just gonna crank it down to the easiest setting when I get to it.

 

Hot take? I play control on medium with 150% health. The difficulty spikes are notoriously stupid in that game and everything else is amazing lol

 

yeah with stuff like Control and Prey I start on Easy then turn it back to Normal when I've leveled up a few times.

 

I do hate difficulty spikes. Does putting it on easy make it trivial enough?

out of curiosity i decided to download Overwatch 2 since i've never played it and it's ftp now

it is goddamn hilarious how Blizzard shit the bed w this game, there are a fucking quarter million reviews and they're OVERWHELMINGLY NEGATIVE.
like, with how many ppl loved the game how do the suits let the greed and desire for monetization completely ruin/throw away any goodwill ppl had for this game?

 

I feel like Blizzard is a shell of its former self. Even Diablo 4 is hilariously bland. Dumb company.

can someone explain the difference btwn Diablo and Baldurs Gate?
like, what's the gameplay diff b/w those two? they're both top down aren't they?

i always mix these two up in my head

 

Diablo is a real time action RPG where you control a single character and kill about 100 mobs per minute. It's always online and filled with microtransactions.

Baldur's Gate is a turn based role playing game where you advance the story with dialogues and the occasional combat encounter. It does not require internet connection nor does it have a single microtransaction. This is the horny one.

 

I was really hot on Diablo IV for the first dozen hours in the campaign but I never finished it

Interesting, I did watch a handful of gameplay vids for BG3 and noticed there wasn’t a lot of combat. So it’s like Disco Elysium but with actual combat sprinkled in?

 

I’ll definitely be getting BG3 when it drops for Xbox

 

oh god, i just hopped into Back 4 Blood for the first time in maybe 2 years and i remember why i can't really play games on my laptop anymore (at least FPS)

Disco Elysium is the only game where you can walk up to Dasha Nekrasova and say "I want to have fuck with you."

And somehow Baldur's Gate 3 manages to be even hornier.

 

Unlocked the gunslinger archetype in Remnant 2 and dual running that now. Always a sucker for a six shooter.

Did one adventure and have improved my power level and new weapon is much better.

 

As someone who has never played Baldur’s Gate is there anything I should know, video primers I should before buying it?

 

There's so many cool little things. Always check walls and doors because you might find a dungeon that's the same as a dungeon you had in a different playthrough, but each dungeon can have different sequels and puzzles. There's a ton of weapons and such to find!
