I have a feeling that Jack Perry was just a scapegoat for Punk to get out of his contract more than Punk really hating Perry. Punk in a sly SOB lol

Rollins matches have bored me to tears lately (except the one with Sami) & he's worked with guys I generally like, so him/Punk sounds like a chore to sit through. The build-up will be fun though.

  4. It sounded like Drew needed time off. I believe someone close to him passed away from what I read. But Drew is a great hire anywhere. He’s someone Tony could slap the belt on in an instant and be a big nasty heel. Mf is built like Zeus

I’m here for the chaos and if it doesn’t work out it’s not like it’s gonna hurt wwe.

Drew is just someone who needs a change of scenery. That’s why it’s so great to have multiple companies so guys who are becoming stale have options to refresh their craft and reinvent their careers.

    Just a friendly reminder

The irony is the "cry me a river" thing was the most I've ever liked Jack Perry as a character.

I mean Tony could also slap a belt on Andrade and have him be a big nasty heel. Or Miro. Or PAC

More talent isn't going to help AEW at this point. Because they've still been consistenly pulling in new signing and the product hasn't really improved. It needs to do a better job utilizing the talent it has.

  13. Yeah talent isn’t the issue in AEW - they arguably have more talent than WWE - the booking and storylines have been inconsistent

I think Punk gets a lot more of a draw.

That’s why I think this spark was needed. Bloodline and JD stuff was starting to really run dry for me.

At first, yeah. He’s a shiny new toy and like with Edge it wore off.

    Everyone thinks Ric Flair sucks.

People are disappointed with Punk because he cast himself as a harsh truth teller at a time when a lot of die hards had become disillusioned with wrestling. They bought into what he represented and they viewed his plights/grievances as their own. He ran WWE through the mud, blamed them for his litany of mental and physical problems, and said they were responsible for his decade-long absence in the lives' of his fans. He said the company made him fall out of love with wrestling. This was stuff he'd just spent the last two years telling all the people who supported him. Now those people are left to reconcile his hypocrisy and come to terms with who he is.

Legit jaw dropping moment for me. And I’ve only had probably 5 of them in all of the time I’ve been paying attention to WWE.

Honestly, I think the only person at this point I truly feel wouldn’t ever go back to WWE would be Moxley, and even that I wouldn’t put a lot of confidence in. Money does a lot of things.

Will be curious to see how much he wrestles and who he feuds with / what his WM story will look like.

    I don’t remember Edge’s return creating this much of a buzz…

Yeeep. It's just biding time until the eventual Cody/Roman rematch & was really dragging out. They keep getting more windfall.

Moxley also seems like the kind of dude that might just wake up one morning and say hey I’m going back to WWE then just does it. Or like rob a bank or something. I don’t think he could shock me at this point.
