Sooo apparently Venezuela might effectively annex the western half of neighboring Guyana next month? I am hoping the referendum is just a ploy to convince the international courts to recognize their claim, but that doesn't seem likely, and the 150,000 Venezuelan troops on the border ready to go isn't reassuring.

 

Kind of nuts that the UK just created an arbitrary border that nobody agreed on and then left. Like this wouldn't ever be a problem in the future.

I have a friend who works for a company where the head recently and very publicly put out a statement basically siding with Israel and condemning anything pro-Palestinian from their employees.

Granted, the head of the company is Israeli so it makes sense why he did it, but doing it publicly instead of making it a private communication has forced my friend's department to deal with the backlash from consumers instead of focusing on Black Friday and the holidays like they normally would.

Just thought I'd share this story.
