I’ve seen enough Press Taylor this year to firmly decide I really don’t like him as an OC

you can see that Doug’s offense has good play designs, but where I have an issue is poor gameflow and not being able to call plays that are situationally good when the other defense is executing.

I don’t care how much we can talk about poor player execution, you don’t go out and lay an egg like that if you’re calling the right plays to respond to SF’s defensive looks.

The areas where I think we can squarely blame the players are 1) not blocking well enough and 2) not holding on to the fucking ball -

but even outside of that, when we *aren’t* turning the ball over and getting sacked within 2 seconds… we’ve had the same struggles in the red zone and we’ve been scared to throw downfield all season even despite wining 5 straight games - that’s Press Taylor all day long. And I’ve already said our defense is gonna get beat by playoff offenses sooner or later and we can’t always expect them to bail us out.

It’s coming down to Press definitively not putting Trevor in positions to succeed at this point.
