I think we're a little too one-dimensional to beat UGA, but Roll Tide. So proud of this team for improving each week and winning the west.

 

This game is why I’m still in on Napier. He’s got the team hyped up for a big bounce back game against a clearly better team with a heisman candidate. Every time LSU scores, the gators come back down the field to answer. All with Graham fucking Mertz at qb. No matter what happens to finish the game, you can see that there is a future here once there is a bit more roster turnover/development.

 

Once again I'm here to say there is no argument against Jayden Daniels being the Heisman frontrunner

 

Giving up 700 yards to LSU is a reason to still be in on Napier?

I mean, Florida hitting the reset button would be so pointless because they'd just repeat this process with another bad coach. But there ain't shit Billy has done that has inspired confidence.

 

Defense looked bad, yes, but there were at least 3TDs/200 yards that were just Daniels being a freak.

the fact that he had the team motivated and going toe to toe with a strong team like LSU is definitely a good sign of things to come. After losing to Arkansas and going into a daunting three game stretch, there’s no way Mullen or mcelwain would have had them up to play. Looking at this season, they’ve performed exactly as everyone projected before the season began. It’s a young team that is working with an extremely limited quarterback. Another year of development and a five star qb gives lots of reason for hope.

plus, all the guys who are making plays and getting their names called are Napier guys. It’s clear he can get guys who can play and get them to perform once they’ve arrived. I know it’s the thing to not be patient with program development, but that doesn’t make sense when Napier has initiated a full on overhaul and, as you say, what does the reset button really achieve right now anyway?

 

Dumb fun conspiracy theory:

Harbaugh knew about the whole operation and thinks/thought it would be a way for him to leave Michigan to go back to the NFL or another college without hurting his reputation in terms of leaving for more money elsewhere or just because, etc.

Maybe he didn’t think it would become this big of an ordeal, but this way he can say he didn’t leave Michigan, he was forced out and oh shucks that’s just how it works sometimes but I still look great in eyes of the administration and the team.

Again, just a dumb fun conspiracy theory and he probably wouldn’t actually give a shit if he got blasted for leaving his alma mater, but this gets him out of resigning or straight up leaving and having everyone mad at him.
