I agree. I don’t think it will be but she finally seems super comfortable in the role

I also forgot to mention that I accidentally bought tickets for this with Spanish subtitles. So that was kinda funny too

    So assuming that this weekend...

The rounding up of the Flerkin kittens scene set to “Memories” from Cats was the hardest I’ve laughed during a movie in a long time.

I enjoyed this. It’s a straight up fun movie, which the MCU has needed for a while.

Wow. Loved this. Brie, Iman, and Teyonah work off each other so well and thankfully (IMO) the humor felt more natural than most MCU properties.

Also Iman Vellani is just so naturally charismatic and seems like she's really enjoying what she's doing and I want way more of Kamala ASAP, that girl is the future of the MCU.

Kamala doing the IM post credit call back with Kate Bishop was so so good!

I was having an absolute blast every time the movie wasn’t trying to actively move the plot forward

Was thinking about this a lot today and the more I think about it there’s a lot individually I really liked. It just needed to be tied together a little better

    $47-$52 million opening and a CinemaScore of a B.

    Not ideal.

Seeing this in like 4 hours. Can’t imagine I don’t love it despite what some people are saying. I absolutely love Brie, Teyonah is always great when I see her, and Iman is just a delight so I’m not really asking for much except a fun entertaining time with this trio.

I really enjoyed all the weird stuff, like the switching, musical elements and cats. Did not like anything when the movie has to be a MCU movie. Iman is an obvious standout. Brings a nice energy that the movie doesn’t allow Capt. Marvel and Rambeau to have.

Just saw this. I enjoyed it more than I was anticipating. Ms Marvel is quickly growing into one of my favorite new characters, mostly due to Iman. The villain and story were kind of bare though. Also what the heck was that CGI for Beast in the end credits. The make up they used for that character in previous films was WAY better.

The tease for the eventual young avengers was great too. No idea when it will be made, but excited nonetheless.

I won't be seeing this for a couple of weeks. I think I've mentioned this before, but ever since I moved back in with my mom and brother a couple years ago, I've been watching any Marvel stuff with my mom, and we lapsed on the TV side of things.

Anyway, even though I'm sure we'd be fine without it, I think it's only right to watch Ms. Marvel and Secret Invasion going into this, so we're playing catch-up.

Watched half of Ms. Marvel today, gonna watch the rest tomorrow. Then my family will all be in Connecticut with my sister for Thanksgiving, so we won't be able to watch Secret Invasion until we get back, and then we'll see the movie.

Hell, by the time we're ready to see it, it might be out of theaters.

Ms. Marvel is definitely necessary before seeing this. I don't remember much of Secret Invasion because I found it to be pretty awful, but I don't think there was much of a connection? Maybe someone else who remembers it more has a better take.

I mean, we're going to watch it regardless, and it just feels right to do it before this movie because of Nick Fury.

If we don't have order, we have chaos, fowruok.

This Fury or the one in Secret Invasion feel like two different people.

I mean, see it when you can with your family. It’s cool you can watch with them.

Yeah honestly I don’t think Secret Invasion has anything to do with this at all. If anything, this contradicts a lot of what happened in Secret Invasion. It may as well not exist

One big one I thought of is a spoiler for both…

You can safely assume I already know the jist of what happens in both of them and therefore do not care about spoilers.

    Please, by all means, continue.
