So you can apparently change who the “primary household” is on Netflix at anytime. Couldn’t the people I share accounts with just do that anytime they want to watch something?

I watched the resident evil show with Lance reddick on Netflix and I had some complaints but it was better than I expected and Lance rly killed his role(s). Some of my complaints may have been addressed with some stuff they had set up for a season 2, but we'll never know. And Lance deserved all the roles and all the things

 

Wow, Scavengers Reign is really something else. Beautiful and unique.

my brother is currently the “primary”, I fired up Netflix and loaded my profile. It said Netflix is for household only, gave me the option to buy another account or continue. I hit continue and I was able to watch? I don’t get it

 

We started Dragon Prince season three tonight. Good so far! I guess the trailer for season six was just released. I should catch up soon, since the seasons are super short.

 

I started Ahsoka finally. Was reluctant since I haven't seen the animated shows (aside from Visions which afaik isn't canon) but it's not hard to follow so far, and I'm already in love with Sabine

Heard Dragon Prince was good, never got to it. There's too many thingssss

 

I’ll say this…

I feel like they probably should have made it a little clearer going into season four just how drastically different the show would be going forward with its new subtitle “The Mystery of Aaravos”. It’s essentially The Legend of Korra to season 1-3’s storyline. As such, they take some creative “risks” as it were in season four that don’t always work and the writing becomes really uneven. Something about it is just…off. I liked season five a whole lot better, but it’s also the season of the show that caused my wife and I to stop watching it with our kids because it was actively scaring the shit out of them. Season five was almost straight up horror from start to finish and that’s why I relate this second half of the series to Korra. It leans a lot more heavily into adult themes and plotlines that shift the show in a very hard left and I feel like that’s partially why season four felt slightly off. It was like they overshot right out of the gate with how dark they were looking to go while trying to hold on to their younger audience from the first three seasons so they attempted to cater to that audience with a lot of jokes that just don’t land and leave the season feeling tonally inconsistent and jarring. Season five pretty much corrected that by instead leaning into their older viewers and it shows. So fair warning because season four is generally regarded as rough and season five is dark. The season six trailer seems like it’s only going to get heavier…

 

I can see how that would be difficult with kids. Jeeze.

Oh absolutely. I’ve personally really enjoyed the direction this latest season took and I’m very invested in the dangling story threads going forward. The season six teaser quite literally hits you in the face with the implication that it will continue delving very heavily into what trauma, alienation, and resulting depression can do to a person when it gets out of control. I am personally drawn to that as well, but with some trepidation because those are also triggering subject matters for me.

 

Just watched the first episode of Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix and wow... so good!

Its an animated samurai show, definitely for adults. Amazing animation and a really intriguing 1st episode as far as story teases. Oozing with style and cool dialogue... really loved it and hope it continues at this quality.

I think its 8 episodes (full length hour long episodes)
