I haven't listened to the new one yet but I dunno, I wouldn't say Of Mice & Men is that much different than most of what's generally posted in here lol. They've been pretty solid and found their general metalcore sound since Austin leaving.

This band, Caligula’s Horse, kind of falls in the middle ground between this thread and the metal thread, so I’m posting in both. Squarely in the modern metal/djent group, but doing it better than anyone else IMO.

New album out 1/26. Two songs in the 10ish minute range and a 4 song suite in the middle of the album. Gives me Coheed at their proggiest and heaviest vibes.

 

I so want this on vinyl but they want $12 JUST FOR SHIPPING and I live in the SAME state.

Just discovered Diamond Weapon.



Picking up a lot of different influences from this.

 

Randomly decided to throw them on just now and discovered they released a new song yesterday. Probably my least favorite of the four

 

None of the songs touch Treehouse so I'm a bit worried about the new album. I might just not be into that sound anymore too... 2016 was a long time ago after all.

 

i thought they said this one was from the treehouse era?

 

Well they haven't missed a beat!
