Well he missed time in training camp due to an injury, landed on IR after week one with a foot injury, and now suffered another foot injury. All this after not playing any meaningful snaps as a rookie.

He just hasn’t really impressed me when he’s actually been on the field (a rare occurrence at this point). He has not pass breakups and no interceptions. Has has 30 tackles, but just two TFLs. He has one QB hit and half a sack, both from yesterday’s game.

He just has not been passing the eye test to me. He just exists and isn’t really adding much.

 

LBs are the QBs of the defense. Most have to get a trial by fire before developing. Lloyd looked horrendous at times last year and he's been so good this year. I'd worry if by this time next year (assuming healthy) he still looks like this.

 

Well that was the big knock against him, right? Assuming healthy?

I want to believe, especially knowing this organization does not invest heavily in LB, but it hasn’t been pretty so far. With that said, he’s the only LB they have under contract beyond this season so he will absolutely have another chance next year lol

But it’s okay. The Texans will trade for Brandon Aiyuk when they say they can’t make the numbers work and Aiyuk will proceed to have the best season of his career and show everyone that he is a WR1
