I guess my question is why it's a good event, I said earlier, but I caught and evolved all the new stuff in a few hours then it was boring

 

Ah ok, 4x catch stardust and XP for the entire event is the main perk so it’s a good grinding event. Plus double XP for frienship leveling.

its like 9000+ XP for an Excellent catch w a lucky egg rn, wild stuff. i think a regular curve ball catch w no modifier is around 1000.

 

Yeah this is the first time I’ve had all the points I need to level up before completing the tasks. Have to beat like 7 more rocket leaders to get to 45 and already have 5 million more xp than I need. Really enjoying this event for that reason

 

I walked about 6 miles today during Community Day, and this made it worth it.

 

How much incomplete special research does everyone have? I have 6 right now, probably more than ever. Mostly due to not raiding, routes or the new party thing

 

I have 3. The new shadow one, the party one, and Level 45 challenge. I just finished the masterwork for shiny Jirachi last week and that had taken forever. Haven’t been playing as much lately

 

There's like a lot of bullshit quests I have like the Landorus one and some other crap I just don't have the patience for. It's like dumb that they're based around events that happened so long ago

 

Still haven’t completed any routes. I just don’t care to

 

I only do those on spotlight days or whatever when I can catch shinies

 

I got very lucky that someone built one on my street that is only a 10 min walk that I usually walk on otherwise haha. Even so, I haven't done it many times

 

Is the Landorus one where you just need a snapshot? I've been stuck on that for years.

 

Yeah, like I'm either going to have to trade for it or remember and catch one from a raid.

 

I have that new Party one and the one from the Timbur day and I'm never going to complete either

 

I have quite a few, I've been busy the last few weeks and haven't gone out an played much other than at home. I currently have the most recent rocket research, the party and routes researches, shiny jirachi, paldean adventure (its the 40 candies task lol), GO fest, level 43, and I also bought a go++ so i have the research from that. I keep forgetting to to the sleep tracking tasks.

 

The funniest thing to me is that they just stopped adding Galar mons to the game and moved on to Paldea. We don’t even have the Galar starters lmao

 

There’s still Gen 4 & 5 Pokémon left too right?

 

There are but it’s just Rotom forms and mythicals from both pretty much. It’s just wild they totally stopped adding Galar. Skwovet, Wooloo, and Falinks were the only new regular lines. It’s only been legends and Galar forms of old mons.

there are already more Paldea mons I think than total Galar

Give me Hawlucha ffs. I figured that Dia de Los Muertos would be a perfect time to introduce it. I guess not.

EDIT: I somehow missed that it’s in the game, but only as a regional variant in Mexico.

 

it's been available in mexico for awhile but yeah no events where it's more widely available
