You need to listen to them in machete order.

    Enema Of The State
Take Off Your Pants And Jacket
    Untitled

    Buddha
    Cheshire Cat
    Return Of The Jedi
    Dude Ranch

Neighborhoods, but skip the Jar Jar Binks scenes
    California
    NINE

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

Surprised you don’t put The Hobbit trilogy before Buddha but if it works for you that’s fine I guess.

  6. Finally able to listen to the album again. My brother has really good speakers at his place and holy hell this thing does sound huge isn’t it. Anthem Part 3 hits even harder so far

  7. I was wrong about Cut Me Off last week. It does belong on the album! Still prefer it over See You but the latter is growing on me with its classically Blink chord progression.

my dream job is to be an album sequencing consultant for bands so I love trying to re-sequence albums lol

doesn't mean I'm right at all, just find it fun to match it to my sequencing preferences

  15. Travis Barker wants to be 'superhuman.' Catastrophe will do that to a man
“It was a sensitive subject,” Barker says, his eyes drifting toward the room where they recorded. “I had to prove myself. They were like, ‘No, you’re Trav. You play drums in the band.’ And I didn’t want to be, like, ‘No, but this is what I do!’ I just shut up and let the music speak.”

He never technically asked to serve as the album’s producer — he just started producing it. After his bandmates left Woodland Hills, Barker would stay behind, turning the pieces of music they’d started into full-blown songs to present to them when they returned. After about seven months of weekly meetings, Blink-182 had over a dozen new tracks.

Listened to this all the way through on a longer drive I had today and it’s still just so good. Bangers all the way from Anthem Part 3 to Hurt and then the last stretch of the album is strong as well.

I feel like When We Were Young is the Asthenia of this album. Kickass riff in the chorus and a kickass bridge.

I haven't been able to get Turpentine out of my head.

For a song with some of the silliest lyrics on the album, I feel like it also has some of the more poignant, especially paired with Tom's sincere delivery. I don't really know how to explain it, it really feels like a true encapsulation of the band as a whole - Truly dumb shit, paired with heart-wrenching moments.

    I can't shake these parts:

    "My arms I've raised again
    Today I don't feel tethered
    I have no path within
Don't know if I'll get better"

"I feel likе I'll cave in
    I'm anxious, I am weathered"

"What if I'm not like the others?
    A broken man, a Frankenstein
What if my heart won't recover?"

This is the take. The last 4/4 run of WWWY when everything is back in time literally feels like speeding on the highway.

Haha Hurt is the first track that is just good not great to me. After that the rest of the album is perfect.
