It's possible to go to shows and only see the band(s) you want to see and skip the others. You just need to figure out what time each band goes on.

 

What if I want to see the 1st & 3rd band on a bill, huh Brad??

 

easy. then you go outside and talk to the smokers, or go buy merch during the second band.

 

ADTR/GC/BLG will do numbys

 

Good Charlotte / Boys Like Girls would be a high priority for me to attend. Leave before ADTR and get to bed at a reasonable time is just a bonus.

 

Would ADTR really headline over GC?

 

BLG/GC toured together in 2008 along with The Maine and that gross Metro Station

 

Saw that tour at Six Flags, watched The Maine and then rode the rides all day with no lines.

I can't stand ADTR, but if they are in fact headlining that would be perfect. I can catch BLG and Good Charlotte and still be in bed at a reasonable hour.

 

I mean yeah? Is this really even a question? Like them or not, ADTR is definitely the biggest band on that bill.

I went to this in Richmond, VA, it was 100 degrees & they had closed off a street & put up a stage on asphalt, quite a few people passed out from the heat. Conditions was the local opener

I would argue that Homesick and WSMFY is a part of the current nostalgia wave just as much as if not more than Good Charlotte's self titled and The Young and the Hopeless.

 

Señor, GC is coming off a hot weekend performance at WWWY. They got the prime sunset slot and crushed it. They're married to celebrities. They have their song in an iconic scene in Dude, Where's My Car? Young and the Hopeless went triple platinum. They're a bigger part of the zeitgeist at their peak, and would out nostalgia ADTR in 2024 no problem. I think A Day to Remember's stock is kinda down rn

 

I'm biased as being from florida adtr is massive here.

But I think good charlotte would have a big turn out just cause at least in this state. Good charlotte has only been here once in the last 13 years. I just never get the chance to see them. While adtr does at least 3 shows a year here.

GC also won’t have toured for 5 years come any potential run, so that, coupled with the nostalgia, is going to be a draw for a lot of people.

Just double checked and ADTR is (right now) the current headliner. I'll update if anything changes.

 

The last time ADTR played here in Portland (2022) they played a 6500 cap venue. The last time Good Charlotte played here on a headliner (2018) they played a 1400 cap venue. Like y'all are fucking high if you genuinely believe that Good Charlotte's demand has grown enough in the last 5 years to not only play above ADTR but believe they're doing venues 4-5 times bigger than the last time they did a headliner. I get that this forum has a big hate boner for ADTR but I'm just stating facts here that at best Good Charlotte is getting a direct support slot on an ADTR tour, not headlining over them.
