this second part remains a mind blowing take

 

does it lol? his last ditch effort is hiring an offensive coordinator so the play calling doesn’t fall squarely on his head but he has been an abject failure in nearly every aspect of the game except recruiting and there’s no reason based on his in-game resume to expect him to utilize those recruits in a positive way

 

whether you think it’s a mind blowing take or not he objectively has one of the hottest seats in the country for a big program right now

 

He hasn’t been in the role for two years. Cupboard was bare when he arrived and he made Richardson capable enough to where teams could dream on his athleticism. He’s made Graham Mertz look serviceable. Third ranked recruiting class and still reeling in five stars as recently as last week. Huge investment made by the university into his vision and particularly recruiting network. This season is undoubtedly an improvement on last, so the on field product is trending in the right direction. Anyone who figured this would be a two year turnaround should have nothing to do with football.

this Georgia game has no bearing on anything. It SHOULD be a blowout. Georgia is the best team in the country, Florida is probably 30-40 or so. Getting the win against the vols points to a signature victory for this season and outside of that you can say they largely won what they should have and lost what they should have.

As a Gator fan I have the most confidence in the program I’ve had since we hired Mullen and I could dream on having a successful 2008 offense again. So obviously I’ve been wrong before, but that still doesn’t mean napier should get fired.
