Still very focused on October 7th rather than literally any other day where Israel is killing civilians.

 

I mean, it’s the same way we tend to focus on mass gun deaths like the Maine shooting moreso than the day to day single/double murders. Bigger death toll gets more eyeballs. Same reason why a lot more people this time around are criticizing Israel despite that attack, because they’re seeing footage in real time of big death tolls in Gaza right now.

I know it sucks but people are going to be emotional and hung up on a terrorist attack that killed children and infants and concert goers and etc. Just brushing that off and immediately going “well what about” just isn’t going to do well in convincing people you’re right (or, worse, convincing people you’re not anti-Semitic). But it’s def and old/young dividing line I’m noticing there

 

Why do so many Republican congressmen seem to have a randomly adopted POC “son” 10-15 years younger than them?

It’s things like this that makes me think it’s not impossible trump gets publicly rehabilitated if he lives long enough

Every now in then I get into the rabbithole of reading about CANZUK, which if you don't know is an Anglo Conservative fantasy in Commonwealth countries of using the lightning bolt of Neoliberalism to Frankenstein's Monster the British Empire back to life under an EU type model.

It is very stupid and won't happen, but it nice that the worst neolibs in the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand got that little dream.
