Ive been pretty splurgy with buying vinyl recently, even with the higher prices, but this one just isn't justified.

 

I casually watched some vids from their WWWY set and my gosh Jordan's voice is shot.

 

So pumped for the Catalyst vinyl (sounds like Friday is the big day?) but also seemingly hinting at a Catalyst album tour too?

 

So happy we finally have this on vinyl. And it seems like the band had a part of it.

The bonus track are a nice touch

 

Apparently some variants are already sold out, I'm assuming the glow in the dark ones.

 

Damn did I miss it?

I ended up getting the tri-color through NFG’s website.

 

Once again insane prices.

 

Ended up picking up the pink Rev HQ

 

Catalyst is a weird album to me. I think its the least visited album in the discography for me. I don't even hate it, its the singles, and then a bunch of forgettable songs.

Maybe its the fact that self titled and sticks and stones are perfect and were the albums of my youth...and then this is the very cliche 3rd album that's not bad, but not as good so it's forgotten?

 

Now my NFG vinyl collection will be pretty much complete. Gonna love having the large version of the album artwork. I know a lot of people think it's weird, but I always liked it for some reason.

 

Totally agree. I never really connected to that album as a whole. The singles are great and there’s a couple other bangers, and then some duds/forgettable songs.

EDIT: actually there’s only 5 songs I don’t like.

At Least I’m Known For Something is one of their very best songs.

 

I went a long time without ever revisiting Catalyst, but it’s up there as one of their best. Top 4 for sure.
