Just absolutely terrible and I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere but this thread.

 

CNN is live on it now. Just checked in tho so not sure how long

 

One of my closest friends, just one month into her PA career at Maine Med, has been called to trauma.

 

It’s just fucking awful awful awful. Been just following it on Twitter for the last hour. Seems fucking chaotic and terrifying and cannot believe the reported number of people killed/injured.

My mom is in Maine (but safe) but wishing and hoping everyone here is safe and everyone you know there.

I fucking hate this so much every single time

As usual it’s hard to tell. Tons of posts saying that he’s been arrested with video to boot, but then people stating in the comments that that’s not him and the video is from something else.

So…Twitter circa 2023.

 

Twitter is an absolute mess now trying to sort through the bullshit and what’s real or not, but I don’t think he’s caught yet. They’ve identified him, though.

The suspect is a highly trained reserve member of the National Guard. He was receiving mental health treatment. He very recently threatened to shoot up his National Guard base in Saco.

As usual, this was entirely preventable.

 

And of course his time in a mental health facility will be the GOP’s perfect pivot to the mental health crisis being the problem.

 

Jesus.

 

The crisis that they actively aid in perpetuating.

 

and they’ll do absolutely nothing about mental health either!

 

I mean, it partially is, why weren't his guns taken away the second he was checked into the facility? He's an arms instructor for christ's sake
