idk man, we’re talking about a franchise that has been around since the 1880s with only 8 WS appearances in those 135ish years and only 2 wins, and the first pro sports franchise to reach 10,000 losses. And also just sat through a miserable decade of baseball that was kicked off with a 100 win team losing a game 5 Roy Halladay start 1-0. Being a Phillies fan has historically been a miserable experience haha

now Eagles yes we have been somewhat spoiled with a team that has had relatively sustained success going back to 2000 now, with a couple of downturns in there that had quick turnarounds. But even that wouldn’t sustain this fan base if the 2017 SB didn’t happen lol. Finally breaking through there did a lot to cure the miserableness of losing in the playoffs every year.

I do have it. I could already watch them if they were the locally broadcast game but that doesn't happen that often in Tampa lol

 

Aint no one rooting for the team right now alive that long, so historical means shit. I more meant like recently obviously. And I meant Philly sports fans who root for all their teams and complaining that they aren't winning the championship games/series in their respective sports.

well ESPN actually (tries to) measure how often lineman actually win their reps even if they don’t give up a pressure, so the difference between their score and the others indicates Trevor is getting rid of the ball on time even when his blocking sucks

Eh, it hasn’t been good recently either. I mean we do have the one time a Phillies team had sustained success (2007-2011), but iirc since 1990 they’ve had 8 playoff appearances. No they’re not the Cleveland Browns but they also ain’t the patriots either haha.

Flyers have been miserable for years now, we were more spoiled with them in the 90s/2000s, and the Sixers basically had a 15 year period where they either weren’t a serious contender or were going through the process. Idk, maybe it is spoiled but a whole bunch of playoff appearances without anything to show for it sucks—just ask the Sixers fans lol.

If the Eagles didn’t win the SB in 17 I think this city would be absolutely miserable after the last year of sports losses. As it is we’re just moderately miserable now!
