Minnesota is by far the best run state in the Midwest; it now has a full Democratic government, which allowed them to pass a shit ton of great bills earlier this year. Great education system, fantastic healthcare system, rapidly improving public transit, great food scene, many nice small college towns, etc. It's fairly flat, but the area in the northeast near Lake Superior is very beautiful.

 

I suppose I should not be surprised, but you would think as a politician having 2 teams from your state playing in a series you could just tweet out some bullshit about "Either way Texas wins tonight!" but somehow Teddy fucks it up. Unless he's been an Astros fan forever and I didn't care enough to know. Just funny how he fucks everything up.

I mean I guess in that it's probably the oldest city in the country that isn't on the east coast (not counting Spanish and Mexican settlements that either weren't built up into major cities or didn't really start getting built up until after Chicago already was). But that's about all I can give you.

 

Chicago was settled (by Europeans) 80 years after Detroit and incorporated as a town nearly 30 years after Detroit.
