Have any of you met great lake folks who act like they're from a coastal beach?

I mean other than the Gulf of Mexico, I would probably take Lake Michigan over about any other big body of water in the States beach wise. Also no sharks is great lol. Huron is underrated though and Superior is super dope but way too fucking cold. Erie is the less superior lake, no clue on Ontario.

The midwest is fine, it’s just surrounded or entirely ran by republicans so these states are terribly ran and aren’t exactly enticing to move to.

I just find it boring compared to the rest of the country. Not that I can't do research and find more fun and/or touristy things to do, but driving through there is just brutal. But have found things to like in just about each state I've been in there. Even Ohio!

Ohio has Hocking Hills so that's super cool. And like someone said that state is like four different types of places mushed into one.

I was actually surprised on the rolling hills in the parts of Iowa when we drove through it, same with Wisconsin actually.

Yeah that gets into the state’s not investing back into their cities or offering programs/grants for things like arts, public spaces, restaurants, because they’d rather slash taxes and focus on cultural war shit like trans students, election “fraud,” etc.

I've been to Ohio to go to Cedar Point once and that's the only time I've been to the midwest. Certainly want to explore the all of the midwest someday (as I want to eventually have been to every state in the country), but it's definitely lower on the list of places I want to go.

Next year I'm going on vacation to Arizona and Utah. Lots of other states out west I'd want to visit before the midwest as well.
